My obsessions include antiqued brass, mercury glass, and anything else that might look old. I love the way they instantly add character and look like there should be a story behind them. You can mix and match and do all sorts of combos. The only tricky thing is, with antiqued brass the finishes can be very VERY different, so if you're buying online, make sure they are from the same manufacturer. Most of the time their finishes are consistent.
