I think I found a way to make my husband love me and hate me all at the same time.
Sounds weird, huh.
I'm thinking about changing the pink coffee table.
{This is where J's head just popped off}
But I think I want to paint it a deep charcoal color.
{Hopefully he just felt a little anxiety relief.}

Also, when I did a search on Pinterest for "gray coffee table" it was a complete bust. I mean, there were no results.
Ok, I'm being dramatic, there were a few, but not enough to mention.
So here are just a few living room pictures that I like the overall feel of. Honestly, I think the pink is breaking up the room a little too much. I have loved it, especially for spring and summer, but I think fall and winter deserve a new color.
Right?

Yes, I know we've all seen this next picture {maybe even on here, so excuse me}, but it's just goodness.
Also, how many tubes of rub 'n buff do you think it would take to paint a whole coffee table?
...No seriously, I really would like to know!
I might be painting the whole inside of a china cabinet for a client and I need to know how much to buy.
So, do you think charcoal gray is the way to go for the coffee table in my ever-changing living room?
I think I'm too close to the situation {not The Situation, like on the Jersey Shore}, but the whole coffee table nonsense.
So all you designer friends, speak now!

yes! i think that will look awesome!
ReplyDeletei just painted a table black and decided to keep it and our rug has a cobaltish blue in it but it still works- post coming tomorrow. :)
JUST.DO.IT.....TODAY!!!! Girl, you know I love me some pink. Like really love me some pink. But i've been editing it back again left and right and love the results. I'm so into moody and masculine and earthy right now and of course gray is always my favorite color. Please go do it today. You'll be so thrilled. And you can clearly pink it back up again come spring with a giant pink tray ;)
ReplyDeleteI really like the gray idea! I think you're right on, gray would be perfect for the moody feel of fall and winter. Hahaha!!! I wish I could have seen your husband's face :D
ReplyDeleteI love the grey idea! My hubs does the same thing when I mention I want to change something! HA!
ReplyDeletegrey will look great in there! and I agree it will give it a very fluid look. DO IT!
ReplyDeletePaint it! You can always repaint again if you don't love it, right??? :) :)
ReplyDeleteI do love the pink but the charcoal gray would look great!
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and paint it! You can always change it if you're not in love with the result. It's funny how a few of the color my world challenge have already changed their choices. I still haven't finished my laundry room, but I'm already rethinking my color choice.
ReplyDeleteI say paint it! I think it will look fabulous charcoal. I have been contemplating painting my dining chairs charcoal.
ReplyDeleteohhhh i think the charcoal will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteGo for it! Good for you for being able to change things up- I get way too weird and attached to things in my own house!
